Prof. Lalnilawma, Minister of State for Rural Development, Horticulture and Public Health Engineering, Visits Sainik School Chhingchhip

SSCC, October 30, 2025 Prof. Lalnilawma, Hon’ble Minister of State for Rural Development, Horticulture and Public Health Engineering, paid an official visit to Sainik School Chhingchhip today. He was cordially received by Col S. Dhar (Principal), Sqn Ldr Om Prakash Upadhyay (Administrative Officer) , and members of the faculty and staff. The Hon’ble Minister was accompanied by the Deputy Commissioner of Serchhip District and other distinguished dignitaries.

An interactive session was held in the Principal’s office, during which the school authorities apprised the Minister of various infrastructural and logistical challenges faced by the institution — notably the poor condition of the approach road connecting the school to the National Highway and the persistent water supply issues affecting the campus.

In response, Prof. Lalnilawma acknowledged the concerns raised and assured the school administration that appropriate and timely measures would be undertaken to resolve the issues. He expressed appreciation for the school’s role in nurturing discipline, leadership, and academic excellence among the youth of Mizoram.
