SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME

Parents are to note that receipt of scholarship from respective State Govt or any other agencies, if any, is not to be linked with timely remittance of fee and other charges payable to the School. Non-receipt of such scholarship(s) or delay / difficulty in receiving the same will not be accepted as a reason for delay in fee payment at any point of time. Scholarship amounts received by the school will automatically be credited to the account of the respective cadet and the same will be reflected in his Statement of Account.

The Government of Mizoram introduced Scholarship Scheme for the cadets belonging to Mizoram State as follows:

DEFENCE SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship is awarded by the Ministry of Defence and is entitled to children of Defence Personnel irrespective of the state they belong to. The rates of scholarship for Ex- Servicemen and the Serving Personnel are as under.

Note :- However, the students must secure at least 50% in aggregate and 40% per subject in the Entrance Examination or in the preceding Annual Examination to become eligible for award of the Defence Scholarship.


LIABILITY OF THE PARENTS OF SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS

The Parents/guardians of those cadets who are in receipt of Govt. scholarship are required to execute a bond at the time of admission to the effect that if their son/ward does not take the competitive examination of the Union Public Service Commission for National Defence Academy or till such time his age permits him to do so or having taken the examination but does not join the Academy if selected, or having joined the said institution but fails to complete the training, or having completed the training yet fails to join the Regular Armed Forces, they shall refund to the Govt. concerned the entire amount of scholarship availed by their son/ward during his stay in the School.
